2 develop small bases,
3 We now have cities in simpsons movie domes.
We can only do the 2nd step and there are a terrible amount of problems like getting dust off astronaut's suits since you would have to get outside sometime and crop development with different gravity and a different atmosphere. The only reason he is so successful is because of his family and his involvement in creating paypal. Colonizing mars is simply a terrible idea.
